This time I mean business

I spent the earlier part of the week dealing with a plugged duct thanks to my nursing two year old.

I do not have time to deal with plugged ducts. I do not have time time to get up two to three times a night to nurse. I do not have time to sit and nurse Spanky three to four times a day (even if it is the only time I can really get on the computer).

I know I have said it before but today, I mean it. It is time to not only night wean Spanky; it's time to wean him completely and begin a new stage in life.

I want to sleep through the night. I want to be able to wake up at 4:30 am to go to my spin class, not continually hit snooze until 7 am. I want to be happy, not a grouch. I want to be me again.

Spanky I love you and it is time to start a whole new big boy era.

You agree, right Spankster?!

Bless your heart!

I think it's awesome that you have nursed this long. I really do. And you seem to KNOW that now is the time for this phase to end. I've had clogged ducts and OMG not fun!

I wish that I hadn't been forced to wean Imp because I still miss it. I wish I had the chance to get to the point you are now, where it was time and we both were ready.

On that note, I wish you nothing but positive vibes and sending prayers getting your little guy weaned. Good luck sweetie! To BOTH of you!

You've lasted that long? WOW. I'm super impressed, hon. I only managed 7 weeks.

Good luck.. let us know how it goes.
I only nursed the younger two and think Sweet Pea weaned only because the tasted changed while i was PG with Little Man.(she nursed 29 months) Then Little Man nursed until he was 37 months.
I think I told you before about what not to do when trying to wean didn't I???? I think it was you I told the hot sauce story to, LOL if not let me know and I'll share it.

It's time. You've done your part. I nursed all of mine until a year and then I was done. Good luck with the weaning!

Wow - you've done great! I nursed all three of mine, and it was the hardest to wean the last one because I knew he was going to be our last baby...sometimes I still miss that special time with him...but, girl, you have done it a long time and you have provided him with a great healthy and emotional start to life! Good Job...and enjoy sleeping through the night soon!

Know what would be a good weaning tool? Go away for the weekend without your kids. Have your mom or in-laws watch them (is that a possibility?) Kill two birds with one stone: get some adult time, and if you're away Spanky can't be there to nurse. I hope you do it because you deserve it after 2years.
