And this is what happened.......
OK. One more.
OK, let's go home. Oh wait, is that so and so?
We get to the patch and I see friends.
Yak, yak, yak.
The kids are playing by the maze. Oh look one is doing blah blah. Too bad I don't have the camera out of the case.
I take the camera out, ready for the next move.
See more friends.
Yak, yak, yak.
Can my kids look any cuter? Crap I didn't turn on the camera yet. I swear if I paid this much for the camera, it should turn on instantly.
I turn on the camera.
The girls run off with friends. I am hoping a mother is somewhere in the crowd with them. My boys are doing cute stuff and I need at least one picture.
Dino and Spanky smile at each other.
I need to capture this. Darn, there's no where for my coffee. Great, now they are doing something else. I can't see the girls any more.
I gathered up the boys to hunt down the girls.
Look, there's Miley doing cute stuff. I'm going to get this shot--wait, Spanky don't rush out in front of the car. Where did Miley go?
I bump into more friends.
Isn't this so much fun? Look at how cute Sarah is in the bounce house. Why must this camera be so big? I can't get it positioned in time.
I decide that I do not care how dorky I look. I am going to walk around with the camera in my face to get at least one picture.
Click.
OK. One more.
Click.
OK, let's go home. Oh wait, is that so and so?
And this is how a mom of four beautiful children has less pictures than most people who only have pets.

I only have 2 kids, but from my experiences you have to have the camera out for the FIRST 15 minutes you are at an event, because after that it is all down hill from there.
Susan
I feel your pain with only ONE child and a Siamese who's practically a child. :)
To answer your question, I have TWO playlist.com players on my blog. Since ok "technically" for most people it's too early for Christmas music, the "normal" player plays automatically by default. But I have the Christmas player right above it so if you would rather hear Christmas music you can do so by pausing the one and hitting play on the other. Soon (and I'm itching to do this) the default one to play will be the CHRISTMAS one! Yay!! :)
hahaha. love the stars over the school logo! I do love my itty bitty camera for that very reason. In fact I can snap without even looking...I am that good. Your pictures did turn out to be a super cute post!
lately this has been ME TOO.
don't feel bad.
social interaction is important, and the memories are in your head;-)
That is SO funny and true too! :)
I can totally relate, except I dont' have a nice camera. I have the damn point-n-shoot, which totally sucks. I wish wish WISH for a nicer camera but I already got a Kitchenaid Mixer this year so I think I will have to wait until 2009. Maybe I can beg for one to capture the moments of baby #5!
You are doing better than me. I usually forget to bring my camera at all. And I only have two kids...I could not imagine how frazzled I'd be with four!
Love the pictures you did manage to snap!
This is a sure sign that Mama desperately needed some adult interaction. Sometimes that just takes precedence over everything else! I know they had fun even though it didn't get documented. :)
LOL! See, I don't care about who I see, I will walk away from them and take pictures. You are probably a better friend than me.... ; )
the two you got are darling and say you were there, ha!!! a mom's just got to get in some socializing!!!
love,
dani
I always forget to even bring my camera so you're a step ahead of me at least. Had fun still didn't ya?
You captured that beautifully. This has happened to me countless times. Too funny on you taking less pictures that someone with no children and pets!
I too always forget to take my camera then end up kicking myself.
So you at least got 2 more pics than I would have.
I have total pumpkin patch envy. I hope that catches on over here. The kids would adore it.
I feel the same way - even with Mr Canon and his perfect shots. My friends seem to point & click like maniacs, take 50 pictures and they all look perfect. I often don't take any.
Don't feel bad ~ you all had a fun afternoon!
At least you remembered to TAKE your camera! I think that's pretty impressive!
THAT....was funny! I can totally see how that could happen.
I only have three and have yet to venture out to a place like that without the hubs in toe. I think if I did, I'd have at least two of them strapped into a wagon (or stroller) and the other one hanging in a sling.
You just made me feel better! I always forget to take pictures... wish I was one of those people who always have a camera, but I guess I'm just not. Another reason for my kids to go to therapy.
I take all my pics the very first thing like a photo shoot and everything else is gravy.
I would have been the one to forget the camera! LOL
This is why I'd like to get a new camera for Christmas... one that is slim and small that I can just toss in my purse or pocket. The digital camera we have is only a few years old but its chunky and bulky!
Yes, at least you brought it! I always forget mine on the kitchen table. Or bring the camera but forget the charging battery. My poor kid has hardly any pictures.
