We are quite the political household

With the nonstop news of the election, my kids have picked up names and, the older ones, various issues. We have had great talks about who we support and why. (I have stayed strong from offering my viewpoints on this blog and I am not about to break this less than 24 hours before the election so I will not delve into my beliefs.)

But our great debaters are Spanky and Dino.

Dino loves to say "Obama" and who can blame him? It just rolls off the tongue and it's pretty fun to say.

So we are driving to yet another function and the radio is discussing the election.

Dino begins "O-bam-a,  o-bam-a."

And out of nowhere Spanky screams and I mean screams "MCCAIN!"

Dino, and the rest of the car, is stunned to silence and then Dino whispers "Mccain".

And our car is the site of another political bullying.

Regardless if agree with Dino or Spanky, be sure to vote tomorrow. Your vote matters and if you don't vote, don't complain ;)

Linus asked me yesterday if we could get a McCain Palin yard sign. We told him, well it's a little bit late for that now. But it's a nice thought!

LOL.. my 6 year old knows all the players in this election.. and is not afraid to ask people she knows who are not voting the way her mommy is, why they want the other guy to win, when he is so wrong LOL
see my grandpa is voting for the other guy and my kids are not afraid to let there views be know.. I Love it.
I find it really funny though because when I was 6 years old I wouldn't have a clue what was going on in politics.

You tell Dino that I'm doing a little chant of my own over here. :-)

This is too cute, and also actually very cool the kids are involved on any level, even if it is voter intimidation!

See you at the polls! (In a long-distance, spiritual kind of 'seeing'.)

:-)

How cute your kids are!
I hope you get the result you want from Todays election. I will be watching it on the T.V and will be thinking of you.

AMEN Sister!!! Regardless of who you vote for...JUST VOTE!!! I actually got goosebumps as I pulled in to the parking lot of our church to vote....soooo many voters, and not a single person complaining about the lines :) Then...I drive a little further and churches and other voting places have lines out doors, winding around down sidewalks...AWESOME!!!!!! Whatever the outcome...we are so blessed...USA ROCKS!!!! (Too cute about Spanky and Dino!)

Funny! We were trying to explain the whole thing to the Oldest (6) last night - what a president does, why do we elect them.

I thought I had a headache before!

His best friend's parents have made it quite clear who they are voting for - just so happens to be the opposite of us. I just hope the competitive kids can handle "winning" and "losing."

That goes for the rest of the American adults too.
